The Maddocks Newsletter Issue 1: Summer 2024

The Maddocks Are Back
We told you we’d get a newsletter going.

Yo yo yo and hello everyone!!!
We’ve been saying we’ll set this newsletter up for ages and, at long last, here it is. You can finally sleep well again knowing The Maddocks have a mailing list.
If you’re receiving this, it’s because you’ve written your email down at the merch table at a gig over the last few months, or have sent it to us via social media. Thanks again and welcome!!

Most of you on here signed up at our Deaf Institute headline back in February – over SIX months ago! How times flies eh.
We’re still buzzing off that night, and if anyone’s reading this and thinking “oh, I do so wish The Maddocks would announce another headline soon” (because, let’s face it, why wouldn’t you think that 😉) then you’re in luck!!
We will be headlining AMP in Stockport on Friday 4th October 2024!

We haven’t done a Stockport headline since we played a sold-out Syndikat back in 2022, so we’re really excited to be playing in our beloved town once again. Plus, it’s so close to home that we can save on taxi fares.
Joining us on the bill will be our good friends and fellow Stockport dwellers The Wears, along with our favourite new music discovery, Tommy Ball. Shaping up to be a pretty sick night if we do say so ourselves!
Tickets are available now from here. We can’t wait to see you all down there!

As many of you will know, we haven’t just been sat round twiddling our thumbs since we released our EP earlier this year.
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, preparing for our Summer shows at Lakefest and The Lower Third in London, as well as writing some very exciting new music which we can’t wait to share with you.
One of our biggest post-Deaf highlights so far this year was returning to the lovely city of Liverpool in April, to play at Heebie Jeebies.
So many of you turned out to that gig and it was such a sick night. Was it as good as when The Beatles played The Cavern? Probably not. But did you lot in the crowd love it and give it your all? You certainly did! Big love.

Merch Alert!
We have very limited numbers of our Ronnie O’Sullivan and What’s On The Menu? t-shirts – these have previously only been available to purchase at gigs, but we are now accepting orders!
If you’re interested in ordering one and so you can wear it around and look like the trendiest kid on the block, drop us a line on [email protected] with the style you’d like and in what size (we have S-XXL in most designs) and we’ll check what we have in stock.

Well, that’s that then, the end of the first ever Maddocks newsletter. We hope you enjoyed it and that we’ll see you again soon!
